Job Title: Inpatient Medicine Physicians (Chestertown, Maryland)
Duties: As a member of Maryland Inpatient Medicine Associates, LLC hospitalist team at Chester River Hospital Center, a 48 bed acute care hospital offering extensive medical and surgical services, will provide quality inpatient care including evaluation of ER patients for possible admission; 23-hour care and observation of patients; admission and discharge of patients; follow up on inpatients (rounding twice/day, when appropriate); appropriate coordination of specialist services; appropriate utilization of inpatient drugs and prescriptions upon discharge; appropriate medical record documentation and coding; communication with referring physicians when possible prior to patient admissions; updating PCP’s of any major change of care during admission and calling PCP same day of discharge of patient; admit and turn over of patients to PCP may be necessary in some cases; assist Group with development of inpatient clinical guidelines per year; daily submission of charges for services rendered and collection of hospital requested Data.
Qualification: Masters Degree in Medicine or foreign equivalent, licensed Physician in MD or other states, 1 year experience in ER, hospital or general physician/surgeon. Work on a week on/week off schedule including weekends and nights.
