Brent McCarty
Chief Executive Officer

With more than 20 years of senior executive experience in the medical IT and healthcare industries, including managing multi-site healthcare companies, Brent McCarty brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to Eagle. Serving as Eagle’s CEO and Chairman of the Board, Brent oversees the strategic vision and growth of the company – from daily operations to marketing and compliance. Brent’s experience leading noteworthy companies like Accuro Healthcare Solutions has endowed him with significant technology expertise. This knowledge, along with his ability to put in place the strategies necessary to achieve sustainable success for an organization, help position Eagle as an industry leader today and in the future.

Brent graduated from Texas Tech University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Talbot "Mac" McCormick, MD
Chief Operating Officer

As Eagle’s COO, Dr. McCormick is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and execution of strategic plans at Eagle with special emphasis on physician matters, and practice operations development and deployment.

Prior to joining Eagle Hospital Physicians in 2003 as associate medical director, Dr. McCormick practiced Internal Medicine for 20 years, with executive level positions in several healthcare organizations.  

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in Chemistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After receiving his medical doctorate from Emory University in Atlanta, where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Emory University affiliated hospitals. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine.

His current memberships include the American College of Physicians, the Southern Medical Association, the Society for Hospital Medicine and the American College of Physician Executives.

Mitchell Wilson, MD
Chief Medical Officer

Joining Eagle as Corporate Medical Director in 2008, Dr. Wilson now serves as CMO and oversees the development and implementation of all Eagle hospitalist programs, providing expert guidance to Eagle’s many medical directors.

Dr. Wilson received his medical doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Prior to joining Eagle Dr. Wilson was an associate professor of medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill for six years, Section Chief of Hospital Medicine for the UNC Hospitals and Medical Director for the Department of Clinical Care Management for the UNC System.

Dr. Wilson is active in multiple healthcare organizations, including the Society of Hospital Medicine and serves as an advisor on hospitalist medicine to the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Academy Physician Assistants.

Robert S. Allday
Executive Vice President / Corporate & Business Development

Robert Allday leads Eagle’s sales initiatives, corporate growth strategies and overall business partnerships. With over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, most recently serving as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Accuro Healthcare Solutions, Robert has achieved an impressive record of success, specifically in enhancing stakeholder value through strategic acquisitions, de novo development and joint ventures. Now responsible for the development of Eagle’s financial growth strategies and business and sales development, Robert serves to ensure maximum ROI for both clients and the company overall, further strengthening Eagle’s place in the market.

Robert holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University.

Patrick J. McColpin
Chief Financial Officer

As a practical financial and administrative executive, Patrick McColpin provides Eagle with over 30 years of broad-based experience in private equity backed companies and public accounting. His previous experience serving as CFO to Medfinders, one of the country’s largest healthcare staffing firms, earned Patrick a reputation as a versatile problem solver with the ability to respond effectively to changing business environments. His proven strengths in accounting, finance, M&A, risk management and general management will help lead Eagle into a strong, sustainable future.

McColpin is a certified public accountant and graduated from the University of Texas with a B.B.A. He is a current member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Texas Society of Certified Public Accounts.

Raleigh Heard, Jr., MHA, FACHE
Senior Vice President of Operations

As Eagle’s Senior Vice President of Operations, Raleigh Heard works with the operations team and is responsible for client service initiatives and the practice services. His impressive industry experience and in-depth knowledge of best practices provides our Hospital clients and physicians with valuable insight. 

Raleigh received his Master of Health Administration degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a two-year administrative fellowship with the Mayo Clinic. He is an alumnus of Morehouse College, graduating Cum Laude with a degree in business administration.

His current memberships include the Phi Kappa Phi honor society, the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Society of Hospital Medicine. He is also a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives . Heard recently received the Regents Young Healthcare Executives award for the Maryland ACHE chapter.

Kirk Mathews,
Senior Vice President, Business Development

Kirk Mathews, vice president of business development at Eagle, has more than 21 years of healthcare experience concentrated in physician recruiting. Prior to joining Eagle, Mathews was chief executive officer and co-founder of Inpatient Management Inc., which was acquired by Eagle in 2011.

Mathews also previously served as senior vice president of Cejka & Company, responsible for managing one of the nation’s largest physician recruiting enterprises with a search portfolio of over 300 clients. Other past positions include vice president of Clayton Medical Associates and senior recruiting consultant with Jackson & Coker, the nation’s largest physician recruiting firm at the time. 

Mathews received a Bachelor of Science in accounting and an MBA from Northwest Missouri State University, where he was a decorated athlete; named as an All-American Quarterback and inducted into the Northwest Missouri State Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001.  Mathews is an active member of the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM), serving on the SHM Workforce Summit Committee, and an original member of The Phoenix Group, a Hospitalist industry think-tank.  Mathews is a frequent speaker on the topics of hospitalist programs and hospitalist recruiting, and is a contributing writer for the SHM Best Practices Hospitalist Course. He also is the author of A Practical Guide to Hospitalist Recruitment and Retention, released in the fall of 2008, and published by HC Pro Inc.

Matt Clough
Vice President, Clinical Recruitment
Serving as vice president of clinical recruitment, Matthew Clough has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare leadership roles. He brings insight and in-depth understanding to Eagle’s physician recruitment process, aligning physicians with well-matched hospitalist programs. Prior to joining Eagle, Clough was the president and founder of Physician Career Pathways, LLC.

Clough is an active member of the National Association of Physician Recruiters (NAPR), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and Georgia Association of Medical Staff Recruiters.

Scarlett Blue
Vice President, Quality & Clinical Development

Scarlett Blue brings over 30 years of nursing and leadership experience to Eagle. Her vast knowledge of the health care system and hospital medicine enables our hospital clients and physicians to achieve valuable efficiencies while elevating the quality of care.

Scarlett earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Sandhills Community College. She is ANCC Certified in Nursing Administration and Medical-Surgical Nursing.

She was recognized in 2003 as one of North Carolinas Top 100 Nurses. She is also a past co-chair of the Non-Physician Provider (NPP) Committee for the Society of Hospitalist Medicine and served as a member of the committee from its establishment in October, 2003 through 2007.

Rich Sanders, MPH
Vice President of Telemedicine Services

Driving Eagle’s innovation, Rich Sanders serves as Vice President of Telemedicine Services, a division focused on remote presence physician services, enabling hospitals to gain value and flexibility while elevating care for patients. Responsible for formulating business development and operational design of this new service, Rich manages the sales cycle and strategic market initiatives, as well as developing operational protocols and turnkey operations for inpatient telemedicine practices.

Rich is enrolled in the Executive Doctorate of Health Administration and Leadership program at the Medical University of South Carolina, and holds a Master's Degree in Public Health in Health Services Management from Emory University and a B.S. in Psychology from Utah State University.
