Brent McCarty
With more than 20 years of senior executive experience in the medical IT and healthcare industries, including managing multi-site healthcare companies, Brent McCarty brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to Eagle. Serving as Eagle’s CEO and Chairman of the Board, Brent oversees the strategic vision and growth of the company – from daily operations to marketing and compliance. Brent’s experience leading noteworthy companies like Accuro Healthcare Solutions has endowed him with significant technology expertise. This knowledge, along with his ability to put in place the strategies necessary to achieve sustainable success for an organization, help position Eagle as an industry leader today and in the future.

Brent graduated from Texas Tech University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

 

Robert “Bob” W. Young, MD, MPH
Founder of Eagle Hospital Physicians, Dr. Young has more than 24 years of experience in medical management, medical practice, and international healthcare consulting in a wide variety of healthcare specialties. He is also a founding member of the Phoenix Group, a hospitalist think tank. Prior to founding Eagle, Dr. Young served as CEO of Meridian Medical Group, and functioned as the executive vice president and chief medical officer of University Health Plan for the University of Cincinnati.

He has held two cabinet positions in the state health departments of Arkansas and Kentucky, operating programs in maternal and child health, environmental health, primary care, home health services, preventive health services, state laboratory services and local health department services.

Dr. Young received a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry from the University of Kentucky, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine and a master’s in public health in medical care organization from the University of Michigan. He became board certified in family practice in 1978.

In his off hours, Dr. Young enjoys creating award-winning wines at his family owned vineyard and winery, Bending Branch, located near Comfort, Texas.

Harris Hyman IV
Bringing 19 years of investment banking expertise to the Eagle Board of Directors, Hyman also serves a senior principal at Flexpoint Ford. Prior to joining Flexpoint Ford, Hyman was a general partner of a middle-market private equity firm and was a managing director of Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was co-head of healthcare mergers & acquisitions. During his career, Hyman has served as a financial advisor to many of the leading U.S. and European healthcare companies.

Hyman received a B.S.E, magna cum laude, from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He also is a director of MedAssets and United BioSource Corporation.

John K. Carlyle
Carlyle joins the Eagle Board of Directors with more than 24 years of executive management experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Eagle’s Board of Directors, Carlyle served as the chief executive officer at Accuro Healthcare Solutions. Carlyle has served on numerous boards of directors, including serving as chairman for Accuro. From 1997 to 2001, he founded and served as chief executive officer of Magella Healthcare Corporation and from 1986 to 1997 Carlyle held various management positions with Concentra, Inc., a company he co-founded, and Medical Care International.

Carlyle is a certified public accountant and a graduate of the University of Texas, Arlington.

Perry O. Ballard
Ballard joins the Eagle Board of Directors with more than 11 years of experience in the investment industry. In addition to serving as a director, Ballard is a principal at Flexpoint Ford, an industry-focused private equity firm dedicated to the healthcare and financial services sectors. Prior to joining Flexpoint Ford, he served as a vice president at GTCR Golder Rauner and began his career in investment banking as an analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Ballard is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Michigan where he received a BA in economics with highest distinction and honors and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.TOP

 

Robert A. Sussman
Serving as a director for Eagle, Sussman brings 20 years of experience successfully advising and investing in middle market companies. Sussman is also a partner at Highlander Partners, which he joined in 2008. He previously served as managing director for Hunt Private Equity Group, as well as, vice president of Hoak Capital.
Prior to entering the private equity industry, Sussman served as a management consultant with Bain & Company and as an associate in the reorganization group of Credit Suisse First Boston.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in government from Harvard College and a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

William F. Miller III
With a long-standing career in the healthcare industry, Miller serves on the Eagle’s Board of Directors, in addition to serving as operating partner at Highlander Partners, which he joined in 2006 to facilitate private equity investments in healthcare companies. Miller also is a director at HMS Holdings, Lincare Holdings Inc. and Pioneer Surgical. Miller has served as the chairman of HMS since 2000 and was its CEO from 2000 to 2005. From 1983 to 1999, Miller served as president and COO of EmCare Holdings, Inc. and has held multiple other various financial and management positions in the healthcare industry.

Miller holds a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Scranton.
